How can I help my pelvic floor?

  • Daily pelvic floor exercises
  • Try to drink 1.5-2litres of fluid per day avoiding irritants like caffeine, citrus, fizzy drinks, and alcohol
  • Aim to wee every 3-4hrs during the day and once overnight is normal
  • Sit, relax, and don’t rush on the toilet
  • Keep a good fibre intake – brown carbs (bread, rice, pasta) and fruit with skin on (pears, prunes, apples, nectarines, grapes and berries)
  • Don’t strain to have a poo
