Second vaccinations now being administered at MKUH
Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) have now started to administer second / booster COVID-19 vaccinations...
Local people aged over 75
Milton Keynes University Hospital has filled all available appointments to vaccinate local people aged 75 or over. If you are over 75 and have yet to receive an appointment for your COVID-19 vaccination, please wait to be contacted by your GP to book your appointment. Please do not contact the hospital to try and book an appointment.
Health and care workers
The hospital is continuing to vaccinate local care home workers and NHS staff. An invite for vaccination will come to staff via their employer. If you believe you are eligible for a vaccination and have not yet been invited, please speak to your employer who should have already received booking details from us.
All appointments for second vaccinations are cancelled
All appointments for second vaccinations have been cancelled. MKUH has sent cancellation letters to all those who had originally booked appointments to receive their second vaccinations. However, we are aware that a small number of patients have received appointment reminders from the Trust to remind them about their appointments. Please disregard these emails, as all appointments have been cancelled. We apologise for this and we are working hard to rectify this issue. Thank you for your patience. Patients will be contacted in February to book new appointments for second vaccinations from March 2021.
Tuesday 23 February 2020 – Updated 1950hrs
The mains water pipe has been repaired and full water supply will now slowly be restored to the hospital, follow a loss of supply earlier in the day.
Hospital services have been unaffected during the loss of supply thanks to reserve tanks and detailed contingency planning.
Patients are advised to continue to attend the hospital as normal for planned appointments.
