We may ask you to tell us about your care they have received. This enables us to learn where we are doing well, and where we can improve.
The friends and family test ask patients to answer the following question;
‘How likely is it that you would recommend our ward/department to friends or family if they needed similar care or treatment?’
To make sure this information is up-to-date, patients are asked to complete the short survey within 48 hours of discharge.
Each word and department displays their feedback results in a visual way. This is so visitors and patients can see that area’s performance. It also allows us to show what has been done as a result of patient feedback.
NHS is a national website designed to help patients choose where to receive their care. This is another way that you can tell us about your care at MKUH. As part of that people can read about the experience of previous patients and visitors.
Constructive criticism can be helpful, so do be honest in your review so that we are able to respond to any concerns you have. Equally, if you have had a good experience, we want to hear about that too.
Where possible, please let us know which area of the hospital you visited. This helps us to provide feedback when staff in a certain area do a good job and helps us to understand where we need to make improvements.
