Community Midwives

The community midwives are excited to support you through your pregnancy journey and once your baby is born. Each GP surgery in Milton Keynes has an allocated, named midwife. This midwife should see you throughout your pregnancy for your antenatal appointments. She may see you at your GP surgery, or in your local children and family centre.

Your midwife, a member of her team or a maternity support worker will then visit you at home following the birth of your baby to provide ongoing care and support to you and your baby. The community midwives will also care for you at home during labour and giving birth if you chose to have a homebirth. They will discuss this with you during pregnancy to explore your birth preferences.

If you have any concerns or would like to get in contact with the unit, please see our contact details here.
