Additional Information
Ward 7 is a 24-bed Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit.
Whilst we accept patients with a range of medical conditions, we specialise in caring for patients following a stroke.
We are a 7-day service for thrombolysis but this is only between the hours of 8am – 5pm. Any Milton Keynes patients needing thrombolysis out side of these hours will be taken to L&D hospital.
We specialise in the acute medical management of a stroke but also place emphasis on rehabilitation, encouraging patients to set their own goals and helping them to achieve them.
Our overarching philosophy is that within the Stroke Rehabilitation journey, every day may not be a good day, but that there is some good in every day.
We are passionate advocates of individualised and flexible patient care.
In 2018 Ward 7 received the Chairman’s award for excellence.
Protected mealtimes for this ward are as follows:
- 12:00 – 12:45
- 17:15 – 18:00
Recent feedback from patients
