Recruitment Open Day in Theatres – Wednesday 20 March 2024
Working in Theatres at Milton Keynes University Hospital offers a variety of roles and opportunities, both clinical and non-clinical. The team are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and forward-thinking professionals to join the team – and this will be your opportunity to find out more!
MKUH is one of the leading hospitals in Europe for implementing robotics to assist in surgery, becoming the first in the continent to use the CMR Versius robot for gynaecological surgery. Since its introduction in 2019, the theatres team have completed over 500 surgical cases, the first hospital in the UK to reach this milestone, achieving this in March 2023. The Trust has since recently purchased a second surgical robot, expanding out capacity further.
As well as being an innovator in robotics, the Trust is proud to be part of the New Hospital Programme, with plans to expand and increase our surgical capacity to meet the health needs of our communities now and in the future.
To highlight the opportunities available, as well as offer the chance to meet some of our fantastic colleagues, the theatres team will be hosting a recruitment open day. The event will be held on Wednesday 20 March from 5pm – 8pm in Phase 2 theatres. This event will be your chance to:
- Meet some of our theatres team and find out what it is like to work in theatres at MKUH.
- Find out about the roles available – with a specific focus on healthcare assistants and theatre practitioners
- Hear about the career progression opportunities available.
- See our innovative surgical robot.
- Get a sneak peek of theatres in action, with our simulation team offering demonstrations.
The open day is open to anyone who is interested in working in theatres. The event will specifically focus on healthcare assistants and theatre practitioner roles – you can find further details about both positions using the links below:
With a leading benefits package, and a growing hospital estate to meet one of the fastest growing populations in the country, it is a great time to join MKUH.
