Night Mode launches across inpatient wards
Feedback from our patients has highlighted that noise at night is one of the most significant areas of frustration, resulting in a poorer experience for those patients.
Following successful implementation across our maternity wards, on Monday 5 June, we rolled out our ‘Night Mode’ initiative to all adult inpatient wards. ‘Night Mode’ aims to address some of the biggest causes of noise at night and will help to ensure that our patients have a restful and relaxing sleep. We are encouraging all staff to do the following:
- Review the need for any patient observations before they sleep
- Maintain a quiet approach when entering and exiting the ward
- Keep noise to a minimum
As well as our staff reducing their noise levels, we are further asking our patients to:
- Put their phones on silent
- Use headphones when using electronic devices
Thank you for your ongoing co-operation and support.
