Public Engagement – govDelivery
Purposes for public engagement
To keep our patients, visitors and local community up-to-date with the latest hospital news, we use govDelivery – a dedicated email platform that delivers updates directly to your inbox. Anyone is able to sign-up to the platform, registering to receive updates on the topics that are of interest to them.
We use your personal information to send you information and updates that are relevant to you and your interests. Subscribers will be able to select from a number of topics, from Covid-19 updates to details about the latest estate developments, and will only receive email bulletins that they have explicitly registered for.
The data that we collect includes your name, year of birth, ethnicity, gender and the number of children in your household. This will enable the Trust (MKUH) to send, where suitable, information to specific demographics where this information is only applicable to a certain audience. Through collecting and utilising this data, this ensures that email updates are more relevant and appropriate.
Your personal information will only be used for the purposes of sending you targeted news and updates and will be held securely by Granicus (the provider of govDelivery). Please note your data will not be shared with any other providers other than MKUH and Granicus. For further details about Granicus’ data security processes, please see here.
You are able to update your preferences (the topics you are subscribed to) at any time and are also able to entirely unsubscribe from receiving any updates should you wish. This can be done by logging into your account. Alternatively we are able to make these changes for you. Please email [email protected] along with the topics names that you either wish to add or remove from your preferences.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact [email protected].
