Remedial works to multi-storey car park D
On Monday 21 March, essential remedial work will start on our multi-storey Car Park D (located opposite the main entrance) for a period of 13 days. The work, undertaken by Vinci Construction, will involve the removal and replacement of a series of structural steel braces and well as the repairs to the cladding caused by impact damage last year.
The repairs will impact levels 1 – 3 of the car park which includes both public and staff parking areas. To mitigate the impact across the 13 days, a rolling programme has been developed where the contractors will cordon off a set of spaces each day to enable them to complete the work they need to do.
Throughout the 13 days, no more than 10 spaces per day will be unavailable and the cordon will be clearly marked. The nature of the work will entail using generators and cutting tools to remove the old braces and consequently, this activity will generate some noise which may cause some minor disruption.
