Paediatric Allergy Support Group at MKUH – We want to hear your views
Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) is looking to launch a brand-new Paediatric Allergy Support Group – a safe space for children with allergies and their parents/carers to come together for support, discuss and share experiences.
Feedback has outlined to us that parents/carers struggle to find the correct information on where to shop for allergen-free foods, how to manage allergies in nursery/schools, holidays abroad and restaurants. This support group would be a way whereby families can share their experiences and advise each other as well as be guided by our expert healthcare professionals.
To determine if this forum would be useful, the hospital’s Paediatric department have put together a short survey to capture the views of parents/carers. The survey will only take 30 seconds to complete but will enable us to understand the potential demand, what age of children this may be most appropriate for and how often we run the sessions.
