NHS App news: Past appointments in the NHS App
From 12 November 2024, the NHS App will show users past outpatient appointment information for their hospital care at NHS acute trusts.
The NHS App takes information provided by trusts’ patient engagement portals (PEPs). The data shown to patients depends on what is provided by PEPs and surfaced in the app. It will therefore vary between trusts.
This feature will be available to patients under the care of Milton Keynes University Hospital who enable users to view their hospital referrals and appointments in one place and see a single point of contact and supporting information for their appointments.
Key information
- Patients are shown appointment details and any documentation or questionnaires associated with their past outpatient appointments.
- An appointment will be considered as past in the NHS App after midnight on the day of the appointment. This allows the appointment to be viewed as normal in the app on the day of the appointment.
- The maximum period the app will display past appointment information is two years – note this will be on a rolling basis and when information reaches that point it will no longer be displayed in the app.
Further information
Further details can be found on the NHS App website.
