Mobile CT scanning unit outside ED

Date: 13/01/2020

A mobile CT scanning unit will be installed outside the Emergency Department on Thursday 16 January for nine weeks to allow for one of the hospital’s current CT scanners to be replaced.

The unit will be placed next to the turning circle outside the ED entrance and as a result, no vehicles will be able to turn in this area.

Vehicular access to the spaces outside the Milton Mouse Unit will be maintained, with these spaces re-purposed as a 15-minute drop off zone. Should vehicles require disabled parking, they should use the parking bays located behind Milton Mouse.

A single CT scanner will remain in operation in its current location in the Imaging department and the additional mobile scanning unit has been located to ensure high levels of patient safety are maintained and that inconvenience for patients is kept to a minimum.

The mobile unit will be in operation for nine weeks until all CT scanners in the Imaging department are back in operation.

Thank you for your patience during this time.
