MKUH implements next phase of electronic patient record

Date: 01/09/2021

The next phase of MKUH’s electronic patient record eCARE will be implemented in theatres, anaesthetics, paediatrics and the Intensive Care Unit across the weekend of 3, 4 and 5 September 2021.

eCARE was introduced across the majority of the hospital in 2018 and has helped to improve patient care by giving clinical teams real-time access to information and medical records when delivering patient care.

The next phase of the implementation will help to link even more areas to the system, helping to save clinicians time and improve their access to vital information.

The implementation will see the eCARE system go offline throughout the night between 3 and 4 September. Patient services and care will be unaffected during this time and throughout the go-live weekend.
