MKUH @ 40 – we want your memories!
Our hospital celebrates its 40th birthday this year and we’re asking staff and volunteers to cast their minds back to the early days. We’re looking for your memories all the way back to 1984 when Milton Keynes finally got its own district general hospital. Until then, patients had to travel to Northampton, Bedford or Luton for many of their appointments and treatments.
Are you one of our colleagues who was born here in 1984 and are also turning 40 this year? If so we’d love to hear your story. Or do you remember working here in the early days when many of the corridors were carpeted and the walls painted the then very fashionable shades of yellow and green?!
We will be posting more about the events taking place for MKUH@ 40 over the next few weeks. We’re hoping to develop a number of MK People stories that we can share over the next few months. If you have any old photographs from the time when the site was a fraction of the size it is today, then do let us know. Send your memories to [email protected] and one of the team will get back to you.
