Information for patients – Outpatient appointment changes
At MKUH, we are working hard to improve our waiting times for outpatient services and bring appointments forward where possible, to ensure our longest waiting patients or those with an urgent clinical need are seen soon.
As part of this work, we are adopting a new appointment booking process.
Our revised booking process means we are releasing and scheduling appointments six weeks in advance of when your appointment is due, therefore patients will be contacted when your waiting time or clinical urgency indicates you need to be seen.
To enable this change we are having to cancel some appointments booked further ahead. Please be assured that you are still on our system, and we will be in further contact with an alternative appointment in due course.
If you no longer need to be seen by our team, please contact us so that we can ensure appointments are given to those still needing one.
Our Central Booking Team can be contacted on 01908 997050 or via e-mail [email protected]
Further information relating to our services and waiting times can be found at www.myplannedcare.nhs.uk/east/milton-keynes
If you are unable to attend an appointment, please ensure you contact us in advance, so we are able to offer it to someone else.
For any patients who are concerned about their waiting times or the care they have been provided, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service. Further details can be found here: https://www.mkuh.nhs.uk/patients-and-visitors/tell-us-about-your-care/pals
