Have you previously had a heart scan at Milton Keynes University Hospital?

Date: 31/08/2023

If you have answered “yes” to the question, it means that you are already helping us with our Finesse study.

We are collecting routine information on what happened to you during your Stress Echo scan, and future problems you may have with your heart.

The study is trying to help doctors decide a patient’s future heart health risk and be able to build a model to predict what may happen to patients and if there are any blockages in their heart. By using the model to predict the chances of patients having blockages the doctor may be able to prioritise patients and make sure patients are treated more efficiently and do not have to undergo any invasive clinical tests unless they have to.

Do you need to do anything?

No. We will only use anonymised* data collected during your hospital visit and what has happened to you since. You do not have to do anything.

* Nothing that could be used to identify you such as your name, address, hospital number, NHS number or date of birth will be used in the study, and no personal data will be collected.

If you would like to talk to anyone about our study and the data used in it, you can contact the study team using the details below. You have a right to ask for your data to be removed from the study, this will not change the care you receive.
