Extension of Letters to Loved Ones at MKUH
A hospital stay can be a worrying time for both patients and their families and friends. Launched in 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic when visiting restrictions were in place, Letters to Loved ones allowed relatives to send a message to patients at Milton Keynes University Hospital via an email address.
We are delighted to announce an extension of this service whereby families and friends can now send greeting cards to their loved ones via our website, with a number of designs to choose from.
Lisa Barnes, Patient Experience Lead, said: “Letters to Loved Ones was so important during the Covid-19 pandemic to allow family and friends to stay in touch with our patients, and still is. We want to expand this service to allow our patients to receive greeting cards from their nearest and dearest.
Everyone loves to receive a card; it really brightens a patient’s day to and will help keep them connected with their friends and family.”
To send a card to your loved one, visit our dedicated Letters to Loved Ones page, select your design, and provide us with your and the recipient’s details, along with your message. Your card will then be printed and delivered to the relevant ward by our Patient and Family Engagement team.
