Milton Keynes University Hospital Pathology Services to migrate to new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) will be migrating to a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) on 16 June 2025.

You may notice some small changes to the pathology results interface you use in the run-up to this date. You can find an updated list of changes here:

22/04/2025 Haemoglobin A1C Currently reports with two result lines:

  • Glycosylated Haemoglobin
    • Unit = %
  • Glycated Haemoglobin
    • Unit = mmol/mol
The name of the test will be changing to: Haemoglobin A1C (IFCC). There will be one result line:

  • Haemoglobin A1C (IFCC)
    • Unit = mmol/mol
22/04/2025 Cryo Proteins / Cryoglobulins Currently reports with eight result lines:

  • Cryoglobulins
  • Cryofibrinogen measurement
  • Cryocrit
    • Unit = %
  • Cryofibrinogen Fix
  • Cryoglobulin Fix
  • Rheum Factor
    • Unit = IU/mL
  • Cryoglublin type
  • Cryoglobulins comment
The name of the test will be changing to: Cryoglobulins. There will be three result lines:

23/04/2025 Haemoglobinopathy Screen Currently reports with three result lines:

  • Haemoglobin F
  • Haemoglobin Variant
The name of the test will be changing to: Non Ante-Natal Haemoglobinopathy. There will be nine result lines:

  • Hb A quantitation
