Please note, this page is printable by selecting the normal print options on your computer.

*After the injection do not rub your eye for the rest of the day as there is a risk of you scratching the surface of the eye whilst the numbing drops are still working.
*Normal side effects include dots, bubbles, shadows or floaters (which may be different colours) These may last a couple of days.
*You may experience pain or an ache in your eye. Please use over the counter pain medication if needed.
*Your eye may feel sore and gritty.
*Your eye may be red or bloodshot. This can look dramatic but it is nothing to worry about.
*After your injection do not wear any make up for 24 hours.
*Avoid getting water into your eye or swimming for a couple of days.
*Do not wear any contact lenses for 2 days after your injection.
*Continue taking any existing prescribed eye drops/medication.
