Battery Warning!
Batteries can be harmful if swallowed. If you think a battery has been swallowed, get medical advice immediately. Do not heat or attempt to recharge batteries. Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
Do not put used batteries in the bin – return them to the Battery Issuing Centre or recycle them with your other batteries. For information about your hearing aid and batteries look in your brown Hearing Aid Record Book.
• Remember to take your brown Hearing Aid Record Book and used batteries with you when you go for new batteries – if you lose your book or have any problem getting batteries contact us.
Repairs
If the hearing aid needs repairing, re-tubing, or if you need any advice or help with the aid or the mould…
Either:
Phone the department on 01908 995 199 or 995 156 to request a repair appointment. You can also contact us by ‘minicom’ on 01908 209 313 or by sending an SMS text message to 01908 995 199 or 995 156 (please note we cannot text message back to you).
Or:
Leave the hearing aid and brown Hearing Aid Record Book at Reception, Level 4, Outpatients (Yellow Zone), Milton Keynes University Hospital. The aid will be ready for you to collect approximately 24 hours later (excluding weekends and bank holidays)
Batteries (blue, brown and orange tab) and tubing may be obtained from all the centres below.
Yellow tab batteries can only be obtained from Level 4 Reception, Main Outpatients (yellow zone), Milton Keynes University Hospital.
