MKUH launches ReciteME ahead of Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2023

Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) is proud to celebrate the 12th Global Accessibility Awareness Day by launching Recite Me, an online accessibility tool to ensure every patient, visitor or member of the public can customise their experience to suit their needs.

Over 1.3 billion people worldwide have a disability, of this number, it’s estimated that only 1 in 10 people in need have access to the assistive products that they need to read and understand digital content.

When visiting our website, every individual will have access to a variety of support tools to read and understand information in a way that works for them. These features include text-to-speech functionality, fully customisable styling features, multiple reading aids, and a translation tool with over 100 languages including 65 text-to-speech.

All functions can be accessed on all pages of our website by clicking on the ‘Accessibility and Languages’ button on the top right corner of the site. The icon will look like the below:
