Footpath closure and traffic management from Monday 22 January at Car Park A for site infrastructure works.

Date: 12/01/2024

As part of the Trust’s work to improve site infrastructure and ensure this is fit for the future, necessary ground works to lay utilities cabling and install a new power substation will take place to the east of the hospital near Car Park A (Staff Car Park) from Monday 15 January 2024.

This work will take approximately 11 weeks and will require the footpath around Car Park A to be closed from Monday 22 January, until Monday 01 April 2024. A new access footpath will be created to allow pedestrians to use an alternative route between the main hospital and Oak House.

Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation in the area during daytime hours to allow for 2-way vehicle flow whilst sections of the road must be cordoned off. If you are likely to need to travel around this area of the site, we strongly recommend that you allow extra time for your journey. For emergency vehicles that may need to travel through this area, the site team, managed by contractor Morgan Sindall, will be available to ensure that these vehicles are able to make their way swiftly.
