Our Vision for 2030

Milton Keynes University Hospital 2030 Estates Vision

Milton Keynes is a fast-growing city which requires a healthcare system that can continue to meet the needs of its community.  At Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH), we recognise this need and seek to develop a hospital that continues to provide the best in acute healthcare. Our MK View: 2030 Estates Vision sets out our plan to deliver a technologically advanced hospital estate that offers additional service capacity and clinical enhancements.

In May 2023, it was announced by the Secretary of State of Health and Social Care that MKUH would receive funding to build a new Women’s and Children’s Hospital with additional surgical capacity as part of the government’s New Hospital Programme (NHP). The NHP is the most extensive national hospital improvement programme in a generation. At MKUH, we are using this as an opportunity to transform how we see and treat patients to meet their needs today and in the future. Find out more about our plans here.
