Wheeled Commode

Please note, this page is printable by selecting the normal print options on your computer.

Usage of the Wheeled Commode
Brakes/Castors – Each castor can be braked by pushing down the rear lever on the castor. This prevents the wheels from rotating or swivelling. To release the brake, the locking lever should be pushed downwards.

Entering or Leaving the Seat – Brakes should always be applied when entering or leaving the chair. The armrest can be removed to allow side transfer of the user.

Bowl Removal – the commode bowl is supplied with a lid and can be removed by sliding out from the back of the seat.

Armrests – the commode has two armrests which slot into tubes by the side of the frame. The arms can be removed by pushing down the front spring lock then pulling them out of the tube – ensure that the arms are securely fitted into the tubes and the locks engaged before using the chair.

Maintenance
Do not store in sub-zero temperature. Periodically check for elongated or stressed adjustment holes. Check for split, worn or loose ferrules and loose or damaged horseshoe clips.
