Precautions following a finger fracture or dislocation

• Buddy Strapping should be worn until the injury is 2 weeks old, unless otherwise advised by your Consultant

• Contact sports (such as Martial Arts, Football, Rugby etc.) should not be done for a minimum of 6 weeks, unless otherwise advised by your Consultant.

• Heavy lifting or gripping activities should not be done for 4 weeks.
