Thread the loose end of the strap through the hoop to form a circle out of the strapping (the ‘furry’ side of the strapping should be on the outside).
Bend your finger at the top two joints as much as possible and loop the strapping over the top.
Making sure the strapping doesn’t slip off the nail, pull the excess strapping as tight as you can tolerate, it should feel like an uncomfortable stretch. Fold it around and attach the Velcro.
Keep the strapping on for a maximum of 5 minutes and apply hourly as able.
Be aware that your finger will feel painful and stiff when you remove the strapping and try to straighten it out.
If you experience any problems stop using the strap and discuss them with your therapist.
